Bank statements to CSV and OFX. Only the ones that tie come back.
Drop in PDF bank and card statements. Each one is checked against the balances the bank printed — opening + credits − debits = closing — before you can download it. A statement that doesn’t balance is held back, with the row that broke it.

Runs in your browser
Statements are read on your computer and never uploaded. The converter page is forbidden from making network requests at all.
-
Checked against the bank’s own figures
Every row is proved against the opening and closing balances printed on the statement — not against its own total.
-
Last four digits only
Full account numbers are never stored. Only the last four, because nothing needs more.
-
Nothing untied is delivered
No file with a warning attached. A statement that doesn’t balance produces no download.
How it works
Three steps, and the arithmetic is shown at every one.
-
Drop in the statements
Bank and card statement PDFs, from any bank — as many as you like, or a client’s whole folder. Files already on the page aren’t added twice.
-
Each one is proved
Every statement has to reconcile to the balances the bank printed:
opening + credits − debits = closingWhere the statement prints a running balance, every row is checked against it.
-
Download what ties
CSV and OFX for every statement that ties, one at a time or all in one zip. Anything held back names the row to look at.
Catch-up work
Drop in the whole year. See what’s missing before you start.
Every statement is proved on its own, then the pile is checked as a run, per account: the months you have, the months you don’t, the ones that don’t tie, and every place a closing balance fails to carry into the next opening.

10 of 12 months tied. Three things to resolve before this year is done.
The check
Two equations, not one.
A converter that reads 99% of fields correctly still gets a whole statement wrong often enough that you check every one. TieOut checks them for you — against numbers the bank put on the page.
Check one — the net
opening + credits − debits = closingChecked against the closing balance the bank printed. With a running balance column, every row is verified on its own — so a break is located at a row, not just announced as a number.
Check two — the sides
Σ deposits = printed depositsThe closing balance only constrains the net. Miss a $500 deposit and a $500 withdrawal and they cancel. Checking each side against the statement’s summary catches it.
What comes back as a refusal
A converter that always returns something never checked. These are refused, by design:
- A scan with no text layer. It needs OCR first — guessing at pixels is how one digit quietly becomes another.
- No printed opening or closing balance. There is nothing to prove the rows against, and checking a statement against itself only looks like a check.
- Anything that doesn’t balance. Not delivered with a warning. Not delivered.
When a statement prints neither a running balance nor summary totals, the result says so rather than implying a proof it doesn’t have. How strongly each statement was checked is part of what you get.
What you get
Files your ledger already imports.
One per statement
A signed amount column, or separate debit and credit columns — your choice. Descriptions are never written as spreadsheet formulas.
Bank-feed format
OFX 1.0.2 with stable transaction IDs. QuickBooks Online imports the CSV or the OFX.
The whole pile at once
Every tied statement in one download, plus a review per account: missing months, months supplied twice, and balances that don’t carry from one statement to the next.
By email
QuickBooks Desktop’s Web Connect file needs your bank’s Intuit ID, which the browser page can’t supply. Email the statement and it comes back as QBO.
Try it on your worst statement. It’s free.
The sectioned one with no balance column, the credit card, the one your current tool mangles. Rather send it to a person? Email it and it’ll be converted by hand.
